Act Three, Scene 1: Words and Weapons
Today, you are reading 3.1 in your book on your own. You should also read the script. Work to try to understand what happens in this scene. Use this blog to talk about what you think really happened and why. My goal is for you all to help each other build meaning. Use this blog as a place to ask questions and answer one another. You might also want to comment on the meaning of any lines you feel are very important. Some questions to consider: Do you think Tybalt, Mercutio or Romeo expected any of this to unfold the way it did? Regarding the deaths, do you think those were entirely intentional? Who do you hold accountable and why? How does this change EVERYTHING? What do you think will happen as a result of 3.1?
